4 Things To Know Before Appearing For NEET Exams

The most dreaded time of the year is here – the season of exams, where we avoid addressing the elephant in the room, but there is no other way out either. The only saviour seems to be full-proof preparation. Even if you start taking charge of things from now, there are chances you will attempt the exams better than you would have imagined. 

NEET, scheduled to take place on 3rd May 2020, is said to have the highest level of competency seen in years together. The preparation for the same is ought to be top-notch in order to come out with flying colours. Here is a list of 4 important things you must know before attempting NEET UG exams. 

1. Well-versed with the NEET pattern/marking scheme

Before appearing for the exams, aspirants should be well-versed with the exam pattern, the total number of questions, sub-sections, weightage of each section, chapters holding maximum weightage, negative marking, marks awarded for a correct response and much more. 

2. Completely acquainted with the NEET Syllabus

The syllabus serves as the passport to your success. Once you understand the syllabus completely, half your job is done. For this, you will have to look up for each of the sub-sections separately to get in depth-analysis covering important chapters, based on past trends, etc. For instance, look up for NEET Physics Syllabus to understand important concepts, recurring questions, typology of questions asked for each section and so on.

3. Aware of the exam day guidelines

NEET is a pen-paper test conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). The NTA specifies a strict set of instructions to be followed carefully. Any negligence here may lead to cancellation of candidature depending upon the offence practised. The NTA has passed guidelines from the code of conduct – the dress code, barred items and much more. One must be fully aware of these guidelines and follow it, without fail, to have a smooth and uninterrupted exam-experience.

4. Carrying the required documents to the exam hall

The only permitted documents to the exam hall are the NEET admit card 2020 and a passport size photo along with a valid ID proof. Apart from this, nothing else is allowed into the hall, not even your stationery. Do not forget to carry these items, as without these you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
