“AND THE GOOD NEWS IS….” BY DANA PERNIO – IN A NUTSHELL

Must read

Have you ever found yourself thinking of getting a job on Capitol Hill? That doesn’t have that, right? But, you’re just a normal kid living in a rural area, and it must all be a pipe dream, right? And the good thing is, um…

Ok, there’s a book called “And the Good News Is…” It’s a biography of Dana Perino, and it’s about all kinds of visions. Or the truth, in her case.

MEET DANA PERINO

Dana Perino is an American author and a favorite TV show host and presenter. Between 2007 and 2009, she served as White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush, becoming the first Republican woman to hold office.

Perino is a co-host on Fox News’ highly regarded chat show The Five. Since October 2017, she has been hosting The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino, also on Fox News.

In addition to “And the Good News Is…” Perino has written, “Let me tell you about Jasper…: How My Best Friend Became America’s Dog,” a kind of happy-go-lucky autobiographical appendix to her first book.

EDUCATIONAL YEARS, MARRIAGE AND CAREER

This book provides a historic sketch of the author’s life, including his upbringing in Wyoming, and a sketch of the twists and turns of his remarkable career. Besides, the book is full of career tips and professional etiquette that Perino has gleaned from her extensive experience with outstanding individuals. The first chapter of the novel is the longest and gives a comprehensive view of her family, her upbringing, and her school years. The second chapter follows the early years of her marriage and career choices leading to her position as White House Press Secretary.

Chapter three focuses on her role as press secretary, and chapter four focuses on her tenure as co-host on The Five. Chapter 5 discusses a range of tips that Perino has considered very useful in her path that she wishes to pass on to her fans. Chapter six discusses the question of civility in political debate, and the final chapter gives insight into what Perino finds to be central to conservative thought and its appeal to those theories.

Dana Perino is best known for her role as the first female Republican White House press secretary from September 2007 to January 2009. She went on to be one of the quirky hosts of Fox News’ The Five, where she now serves as a conservative political analyst.

FROM RAGS TO RICHES

Most of our readers undoubtedly already know Dana Perino as one of the few high-quality political pundits on TV. Still, we’re going to risk a bet that not all of you have ever taken the time to find out anything about her life.

As is the case for all actors, her life is very fascinating. In “And the Good News Is…” Perino recounts it, vividly and crisply, from her modest origins to her work on Capitol Hill. From ranches, oh, excuse me: rags! To the affluent, from the bushes to the Bush.

It’s a kind of American book that dream lovers would love to read. It’s motivational and uplifting, it’s novel and informative. On the subject of the above, the book could be a good read to someone who wants to get advice or two on how to be more effective.

It’s a book that any fan of Perino should have in his or her possession.
