Belgian Delirium beer

Belgian Chimay beer

The most unusual fact about the Belgian Chimay beer is that it is made in a Trappist monastery. Hence, the Chimay beers are also known as Trappist beers. The Trappist breweries are known to use the profit they receive only to support the monastery financially and for other functional purposes like charity.

There are many variants of the Belgian Chimay beer like the Chimay Red, Chimay Blue, Chimay Triple, Chimay Doree. The colour and the flavour varies from each of its variants. The ABV content in each of them also varies. Chimay Doree has the least ABV value, while Chimay Blue has the highest.The beer produced is exported to many countries, and more than 50 per cent of it gets sold in the export market alone.

Presence in India

India’s beer market has matured with time concerning commodities like beer. The makers seemed to believe that India would be a difficult market for their beers when they first introduced the products to the Indian market. Although, the trend showed that the consumers are indeed substituting their beer with milder flavour which would work well for the Belgian Chimay beer.Since both of these beers are of premium quality, priced accordingly. As a result, their marketing strategies had included giving away free samples at selected popular restaurants.
