As an Overlanding and off-road enthusiast, I can now distinguish cultures based on products.
In other words, I can quickly tell whether a product was made in USA or Australia.
There was something about it being Australian that I didn’t realize.
A chief designer designed this trailer with the Australian trailer industry in mind.
Our inspiration came from seeing what’s available in other parts of the world and creating something similar for our country.
Australian trailers are not copied in any way by the Dweller. However, it has been modified to incorporate USA preferences and trails based on the same concept. We in the States can make great use of the tried and true engineering and build quality of the Aussies!
A long-lasting product
It’s important that I use my gear as it was meant to be used, even in deep dirt, mud, snow, and salted roads. During Overlanding, your equipment is continuously tested, and anything that isn’t built to standard will fail.
It also has a galvanized steel chassis in addition to its heavy-duty suspension. Rust is successfully prevented by this type of treatment, in case you didn’t know.

The Dweller doesn’t mind living off-grid
With this trailer, you can take long-distance trips over rough roads through deserts and forests only a few trailers can handle.
Off-road travel is easy with the Dweller, equipped with an articulating towing coupler, independent suspension, and all-terrain tires on 16″ wheels.
This trailer cannot be towed past Hell’s Revenge because it is so large and heavy (GVWR 6405).
Even though you’re far from civilization, this place makes you feel at home.
The Dweller is Comfortable
Ultimately, we would not have been able to tow so much extra weight if we didn’t have a comfortable trailer.
This comfortable room has a queen-size bed, window shades, a TV with a DVD player, and a stereo system to help you unwind post-travel. Additionally, the cottage features a full-size refrigerator and freezer,cassette toilet, and a shower en suite, along with one outdoor shower.
Besides the pull-out galley, there is also a 2 burner stove and sink. Ample living space is also provided.
Whether camping in Death Valley in the middle of nowhere or on an organized campsite, the home can go anywhere.
All your gadgets can be powered
The ability to run our electrical appliances is one of the most challenging aspects of spending days or weeks away from civilization.
A 2,000-watt inverter will power all your electrical devices, and three 100AH batteries and three 100W solar panels will also power your heater, television, and running water.
Camp in all Weather Conditions
Thanks to both its heating and cooling capabilities, you’ll be comfortable no matter what the weather is like with the Dweller.
Heating is provided by a combi heater mounted underneath the bed.
The 12-foot electric awning provides shade and protection from rain while you’re outside.
The functionality of the trailer’s layout
When new manufacturers enter the trailer industry, their trailers look great but are awkwardly laid out.
I find it difficult to wait for things to change long-term, as nothing seems to work as expected.
The Interior Space is Expandable
OBi designed the trailer with a pop-top roof to keep its slimmer profile when traveling.
Pop up the roof when you arrive at camp, and you get more headroom right away, allowing you to stand upright and move comfortably around the trailer.
The trailer is packaged smartly by providing all the amenities and a feeling of space in a limited space intended for rough terrain.
Storage Space Is Plenty
Overland adventures require plenty of storage. The Dweller’s storage capabilities include internal storage in addition to external storage.
On the outside, there is a locking outer storage box integrated into the toolbox on the front.
Generally, spare parts, tools, and recovery gear should be stored outside the trailer due to their dirty and rattley nature.
In addition to linens, clothes, and other items you would like to take along On your journey adventure, there are tons of storage areas inside.
Using a water jerry can is not necessary
Campers can drink, wash their dishes, and take showers with water. We need a lot on a long journey, which is why we often take jerry cans with us.
Since there are three tanks on this trailer, one comprising freshwater, another comprising city water, and one comprising gray water, jerry cans are not needed to tow it. Despite the large water storage capacity, the water will not run out anytime soon.
With such details, camping becomes more enjoyable since water is no longer a concern.
Safety is a Priority
The Dweller meets all the strict safety standards required by equipment that travels on roads.
The vehicle has brake lights, LED exterior floodlights, LED signals, electric brakes, ensuring you remain visible at all times.
There is also a key power shut-down feature, a heavy-duty mud flap, and an emergency brake for added peace of mind.
