Chest Discomfort

Considered to be one of the biggest signs that your heart is in trouble. If you have a blocked artery or experiencing a heart attack, then you will feel a pain, tightness, or pressure in the chest. People experience it differently. For some it is like a very heavy weight, other feel a pinching or burning sensation. It barely lasts a few minutes and takes place when one is either at rest or doing some physical activity.

Indigestion and Heartburn

Some individuals experience symptoms of stomach pain, nausea, heartburn, or indigestion during a heart attack. As a result, some patients even vomit. This is especially found in women more than in men. Yes, an upset stomach mostly happens from eating something wrong but in just very few instances it can also indicate a heart attack.

Pain in the Arm

This is another cardinal sign for a heart attack. This pain originates from the left side of the body starting from the chest and moves outwards. For some it can just be a pain in the arm which can turn out to be a heart attack.

Dizzyness

There are many factors which can make an individual feel light-headed leading to fainting. This can include lack of food, water, or just because of standing up too fast. However, lightheadedness together with an uneasiness in the chest is a dangerous combination. In such cases, a doctor should be called right away.

Jaw Pain

Some people experience pain in the throat or jaw. This may not be heart-related and more due to a muscular issue, cold or a sinus problem. But in the event of pain or pressure in the centre of the chest which is rising upwards and spreading to the jaw or throat, a doctor should be called immediately.

Exhaustion

Getting exhausted after a long day at work is natural. This is because extreme exhaustion or weakness for days at a stretch is a symptom of a heart disease which is very applicable in case of women.
